February is the month of love, and Build it has expressed her love to the youngsters of Siphofaneni by presenting Juventus F.C.’s U13 team with a brand new football kit. This is part of the awards that this team got after being crowned the Big Bend Build it U13 Champions late last year.

Present during this event that was held on Friday afternoon in Siphofaneni was Build it Human Resources Manager, Mr. Gladwin Hillary, Vice Chairperson of the Lubombo Regional Football Association Mr. Thokozani Shongwe, and EFA’s Youth Football Development Officer Mr. Friday Myeni to mention but a few.

Speaking on behalf of Build it was Mr. Gladwin Hillary who expressed the organization’s excitement towards giving back to the community through football. “As an organization, we are excited to give back to the community, and it is encouraging to witness the impact that this football development programme is making to the economy. As you know, sports are about discipline which enhances the country’s effort in developing responsible citizens,” Hillary said.

Mr. Thokozani Shongwe spoke on behalf of the football family and he highlighted about the significance of having such football development programme. “Such football development programmes help us to identify talent and to attest to this, we already have products from the Build it U13 Football Development Programme who are now playing elite football”, Shongwe said.

The coach of Juventus F.C. eluded the words of the Vice Chairperson as he also highlighted the contribution of football towards the socio- economic development of the country.
