NSINGIZINI HOTSPURS F.C. TARGET COMEBACK AS SCOTTLAND FC VISIT SOMHLOLO

Nsingizini Hotspurs FC will look to overturn a 1–0 first-leg deficit when they host Zimbabwean champions Scottland FC in the decisive CAF Champions League First Preliminary Round second leg at Somhlolo National Stadium on Saturday at 3:00 PM.

The Eswatini champions return home knowing that a victory by at least two clear goals would secure their passage to the Second Preliminary Round, while a one-goal win would take the tie to a penalty shootout.

Head Coach Mandla Qhogi says his side is ready for the challenge after analysing last weekend’s encounter in Zimbabwe and identifying areas that require improvement.

“We know the task that is ahead of us. We are playing against a star-studded team, but we have done our post-mortem of the first leg and looked at where we can improve and where we can hurt them,” said Qhogi.

Despite the narrow deficit, the coach remains confident in his players and believes the atmosphere at home can provide an additional boost.

Qhogi also thanked Emaswati who travelled to Zimbabwe for the first leg and called on supporters from across the country’s football community to rally behind the champions on Saturday.

“We appreciate the support we have received from Emaswati, including those who travelled to Zimbabwe. Now we encourage everyone to come and support us on Saturday. We are not only playing for Nsingizini anymore; we are playing for the country,” he said.

Captain Sibusiso Dlamini echoed the coach’s confidence, saying the players understand the importance of the assignment and remain focused on producing the result required to advance.

With continental progression at stake, Nsingizini Hotspurs will be counting on home advantage and strong support from the stands as they seek to keep Eswatini’s CAF Champions League campaign alive.
