SANELE CEDRIC NTIMANE SELECTED FOR FIFA NEW REFEREES COURSE

Sanele Cedric Ntimane and Pholile Goodness Simelane have been selected to participate in the upcoming FIFA New Referees Course, scheduled to take place from 25 to 30 September 2026 in Cairo, Egypt.

Ntimane and Simelane’s selection represents another important milestone in their refereeing career and reflects the continued development of Eswatini’s match officials through increased exposure to international refereeing programmes.

The FIFA New Referees Course is designed to equip emerging referees with the knowledge, technical understanding and practical skills required to officiate at a higher level. The programme provides an important platform for referees to enhance their understanding of the Laws of the Game, match management, positioning, decision-making and the professional standards expected within international football.

For them, this opportunity comes as recognition of their progress and potential within the refereeing fraternity. Their participation will also provide valuable international exposure and an opportunity to learn alongside referees from different footballing environments.

The EFA continues to prioritise the development of referees as an integral component of football development in the country. Through structured training programmes, technical courses, fitness assessments and international opportunities, the Association seeks to strengthen the quality and depth of Eswatini’s refereeing talent.

Their selection further demonstrates the importance of investing in the next generation of match officials and creating pathways for talented referees to progress from domestic competitions to the international stage.

The EFA congratulates Sanele Cedric Ntimane and Pholile Goodness Simelane on their selection and wishes them every success at the FIFA New Referees Course. The Association is confident that their participation will contribute positively to their continued development and, ultimately, to the advancement of refereeing in Eswatini.
