EFA ACKNOWLEDGES HIS MAJESTY KING MSWATI III AND ALL STAKEHOLDERS FOR THE SUCCESSFUL EXECUTION OF THE SMVAF INGWENYAMA CUP COMPETITION
The Eswatini Football Association (EFA) hereby extends a special tribute and momentous gratitude to His Majesty King Mswati III together with the Royal Household for gracing the Finals of the SMVAF Ingwanyama Cup that were played on Sunday, 6th April 2025 at the Somhlolo National Stadium. By being the patron of this prestigious competition that perfectly blends Eswatini culture and football, give the SMVAF Ingwenyama Cup the Royal touch and uniqueness thus; making the finals to be a national event. This competition also provides the platform for the country to promote its culture and football to the global space of which it strategically promotes the identity of the country. The SMVAF Ingwenyama Cup plays a major role in the unification model of the country as it also acts as a catalyst of the sporting and economic growth of the country. The football family will always remain greatly indebted to His Majesty and the pioneer of this competition for his stewardship.
Further appreciation goes to the Head of Government of the Kingdom of Eswatini, his Cabinet and Civil Servants, Members of both Houses of Parliament, the Sponsor-SMVAF, Distinguished Guests, Football fans, Football family, Cultural groups, Media, and the public for their exertions towards the successful execution of the SMVAF Ingwenyama Cup Competition. They are also the principal reason the whole tournament was memorable.
The EFA would also like to congratulate Royal Leopard F.C., Amajukujuku F.C., and Young Buffaloes F.C. for being crowned the SMVAF Ingwenyama Cup Grand Champions, Regional Champions, and Women’s football category champions respectively. Both football clubs were officially crowned champions by His Majesty King Mswati III displayed impressive football. Also; the congratulatory notes go to the cultural category champions of this competition, as they also demonstrated exceptional art of the Eswatini culture that showcased the tradition and core-values of the Eswatini nation to the local and global platforms. The EFA also recognize the efforts of every participant of this competition for the sterling performance as their competitiveness pushed the champions to their limits thus making the SMVAF Ingwenyama Cup to be a competitive and interesting competition.
