EFA EMPOWERS THE COACHES OF THE PARTICIPATING SCHOOLS OF THE U15 AND U20 SCHOOL GIRLS’FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME
The Eswatini Football Association (EFA) as an effort of developing Women’s football in the country is empowering the teachers who are also coaches of the schools that are participating in the EFA U15 and U20 Schools Girls’ Football Development Programme. This Women’s Football Development Programme has produced the U20 and U17 Women’s National Team players that have graduated to the Senior Women’s National Team.
The coaches have enrolled for the License D Coaching Course that is being facilitated by the EFA. The main objective of this coaching course is to empower the participants with the latest trends in as far as tactics and technics of women’s football is concerned as they are the ones who coach the players. Part of the content of this course include, player development, football administration, coaching philosophy, and planning and implementing training sessions.
“This is an informative course as it enhances us not just on the coaching part, but on how to handle the Girl child. It assists us to be better teachers and have more understanding on our profession,” said Nokwazi Dlamini from Kobe High School. With the school currently on the first team break, the matches and the course will continue in the second term.
