MAGUGA COSMOS F.C. CROWNED PIGGS PEAK BUILD IT EFA U13 CHAMPIONS

Maguga Cosmos F.C. were crowned champions of the Piggs Peak Build It EFA Under-13 Tournament after defeating Bright Academy 2–0 in the final at Malandalahle Sports Ground on Saturday.

Cosmos delivered a dominant tournament campaign, scoring 14 goals in five matches without conceding a single goal to claim the title in impressive fashion.

Bright Academy reached the final unbeaten in the group stages and after a semi-final victory, but Cosmos proved too strong in the decider to complete their outstanding campaign.

The champions also dominated the individual awards, with Semahle Dlamini named Player of the Tournament and Top Goalscorer with five goals. Thembinkosi Mndawe was named Goalkeeper of the Tournament, while Anele Nhlengetfwa and Phiwayinkosi Hlatjwako won the Best Defender and Best Midfielder awards respectively.

The tournament attracted strong support from the Piggs Peak community, with football stakeholders, local dignitaries and supporters turning out to witness the young players in action.

With four of the eight Build It EFA U13 tournaments now completed, the series heads to Siphofaneni for the next instalment.
