EFA ELECTORAL COMMITTEE CONFIRMS NOMINEES FOR MRFA ELECTIONS

The Eswatini Football Association (EFA) Electoral Committee has announced the eligible nominees for the upcoming Manzini Regional Football Association (MRFA) elections, setting the stage for a closely contested electoral process on 6 September 2026.

The announcement follows the completion of the eligibility verification process in accordance with the EFA Statutes and the EFA Electoral Code of 2025, paving the way for the election of a new MRFA Executive Committee.

The new leadership structure will comprise a Chairman, a Vice-Chairman and five Executive Committee Members, who will be entrusted with guiding the administration and development of football in the Manzini Region.

CONTEST FOR CHAIRMANSHIP

The race for the MRFA chairmanship will see Mancoba Mahlindza go head-to-head with Vusi Hall.

The Vice-Chairman position has attracted three nominees, namely Themba Mavuso, Zwelethu Dladla and Mancoba Mahlindza, with the final outcome to be determined by the eligible electorate during the General Assembly.

The Executive Committee Members’ race has attracted 12 nominees, reflecting significant interest in contributing to the leadership and administration of football in the region.

The nominees are:

EFA STRESSES INTEGRITY AND FAIR PLAY

As the electoral process moves towards the General Assembly, the EFA Electoral Committee has reiterated its commitment to ensuring a transparent, credible and fair election.

All stakeholders have been reminded that bribery, corruption, vote solicitation and any form of propaganda are strictly prohibited. Candidates and other participants have been urged to conduct themselves responsibly and in full compliance with the applicable electoral regulations.

The Committee has further called on all stakeholders to uphold the principles of fair play, respect, good governance and integrity, while ensuring that the interests of football remain at the centre of the electoral process.

The elections represent an important opportunity for stakeholders in the Manzini Region to determine the leadership that will steer regional football forward and contribute to its continued development.

The MRFA General Assembly and elections will take place on 6 September 2026, with the venue to be announced in due course.
