U17 WOMEN’S NATIONAL TEAM GETS TWO VICTORIES AND THE U17 MEN’S NATIONAL TEAMS GETS TWO DRAWS
The U17 Women’s National Team won their two matches they played against Passion Ladies F.C. and Young Boys F.C. respectively. These matches were played at the Silobela Stadium in Caroline, Republic of South Africa. These friendly matches are part of the training programme for the national teams as they prepare for upcoming international competitions like the Zone 5 Games. The U17 Women’s National Team showed no mercy on both matches against Passion Ladies F.C. as they easily won both matches. In the first match, the national team won by 5-0 whilst in the second match they won by 8-0.
The U17 Men’s National Team had to work very hard to hold Young Boys F.C. on both matches that they played against the Caroline based side. On both matches Young Boys F.C. put the national team under a lot of pressure as a result they were the first team to score on both matches. They were also tactically and technically disciplined team as they shared the ball very well. The national team were able to react to that as they absorbed the pressure very well on both matches thus being able to fight back on both matches and get the draws. The score line for the first match was 2-2 after Young Boys lead twice. As for the second match, the national team came from behind after Young Boys F.C. took the lead from a penalty spot only for the national team to equalize on the last minute of the regulated time to make the score line to be 1-1.
