SIHLANGU HEAD COACH LAMENTS DRAW AGAINST THE MAMBAS ON HASTY DECISIONS
The Senior Men’s National Term (Sihlangu SeMnikati) played to a goalless draw against Mozambique (Mambas) in a highly tactical match of the on-going Hollywoodbets COSAFA Cup match on Saturday afternoon. Both teams demonstrated their tactical abilities which made this match to be a tough one.
Sihlangu SeMnikati head coach, Sifiso Ntibane highlighted that this was a more tactical match as compared to their opening match against Botswana. “It was a tough and highly tactical match compared to the opening match where we were able to create numerous chances. Having said that, I am happy with the way we maintained our tactical shape; however, we were let down by our hasty decision making in the last third,” Ntibane said.
The head coach praised the players for standing their ground in this match considering that they are still learning in as far as international football is concerned and a lot of people did not give them a chance to perform the way they are doing. “Let me congratulate the players who stood their ground in this tough match considering that they are still learning in as far as international football is concerned, and also this is a new team,” Ntibane said.
Sihlangu SeMnikati will play their last match in Group A against the hosts South Africa on Tuesday who played to a goalless draw against Botswana. These results made all the national teams in group A to be at 2 points.
