RES Siyakha Ngomane Juniors Leagues kick off on a high note
The sugar-belt was once again a hive of activity this past weekend as Ngomane Sports Ground hosted scintillating football matches under the RES Siyakha Football Development Programme which kick started both the under 13 and under 15 leagues.
Three matches were witnessed in both the under 13 and under 15, and these games attracted hordes of football followers. Cheering and encouraging the young players was the order of the day as the spectators dominated by parents/guardians rallied behind the respective teams.
In the under 13 category, Dream Achievers F.C. seemed to have achieved their dream as they ran amok to crush Ngomane Young Stars F.C. by 13-1 in a one-sided encounter. Other matches saw Thiba Academy beating Super Strikers F.C. 3-2 in a tightly contested match while Powerful Heroes F.C. eased past Union St Ngomane F.C. by a 3-0.
In the under 15 category, Thiba Academy beat Bournemouth F.C. by 9-4 in 13-goal thriller while Super Strikers F.C. won against Powerful Heroes F.C. by 3-0. Dream Achievers F.C. won against Union St Ngomane F.C. by 3-1 in another thrilling match.

The RES Siyakha 1800 Mafucula Under 15 League played match-week two fixtures over the weekend, with four matches taking place at Mafucula Sports Ground.
Pachanga F.C. were the biggest winners as they won against Hotspurs F.C. by 4-1 while Brave Lions F.C. won against Rangers F.C. 3-0. Other results saw Young Reds F.C. winning against Equator F.C. by 1-0 , with Bunyonyo F.C. winning against Madraya F.C. by 3-1 in another interesting match.
Professionals F.C. crowned champions of the RES Siyakha 1800 Lubombo North East U15 Knock-out tournament
Professionals F.C. were crowned champions of the RES Siyakha 1800 Lubombo North East Knockout tournament after their victory against Silver Stars F.C. by 3-0 on penalties, in a final that was played at Mphelandzaba Sports Ground on Saturday.
The match ended in goalless draw after regulation time and forced it to be decided on the dreaded lottery penalties where Professionals F.C. scored three unanswered goals.
The one-day tournament featured six teams which eliminated each other until the final stage. To reach the final, Professionals F.C. won against Juventus F.C. by 3-2 on penalties while Silver Stars F.C. won against Rhinos F.C. by 1-0 in the semi final.
