PROVE YOURSELVES TO THE NATION- EFA PRESIDENT
The Eswatini Football Association’s (EFA’s) President has challenged the national team (Sihlangu SeMnikati) players to prove themselves to the nation by getting positive results away in Morocco where they will play against Somalia in the TotalEnergies AFCON Preliminary Round Qualifier Match against Somalia. He said so during the farewell function of Sihlangu SeMnikati on Sunday morning at the EFA’s Technical Centre in Lobamba. “We have seen that the spirit in camp is high which is an indication of your commitment. Now is the time for you to prove yourselves to the nation and protect the badge of the country. We wish you the best of luck “, Simelane said.
The representative of the Ministry of Sports, Arts and Culture was Mangaliso Simelane who wished the national team the best of luck; however, he lamented the shyness of Sihlangu in front of goal which he believes in now history. “We are hungry for goals that are scored by Sihlangu; however, the is no way that we can lose against Somalia”, Simelane said.
The national team head coach Domini c Kunene acknowledged the players for their commitment since they commenced the preparations for the matches against Somalia thus promising positive results. “I would like to thank the players for their commitment and also promise that we will work hard in order to get positive results”, Kunene said. Similar words were said by the national team captain Sifiso Matse who thanked the technical bench for preparing them very well ahead of this international assignment. “As players, we thank the technical bench for preparing us very well for this international assignment, and as players we know what this match means to the nation thus, if we don’t get positive results; we would have let the nation down”, Matse said.
