EFA DELAGATES COMPLETE THE REVIEW OF STATUTES
Statutes are crucial in football as they form the fundamental rules and regulations that govern the game, ensuring fair play, safety, and integrity. They outline the structure of football organizations, Laws of the Game, and the procedures of resolving disputes.
For the past three (3) weekends, the Eswatini Football Association’s (EFA’s) Delegates were reviewing the current statutes following the advice from FIFA. This was an essential exercise as the EFA statutes outline how the football association is organized. These statutes outline the governance and operations of the Eswatini Football Association.
At this stage, the reviewed statutes will be handed to the legal experts who will draft the final document that will be ready for adoption by the General Assembly. This was an intense and engaging exercise as the Delegates submitted their views to the EFA Executive Committee regarding the relevant changes that they felt were relevant in as far as the current statutes are concerned.
The participating Delegates were from the four Regional Football Associations (Hhohho, Manzini, Lubombo, and Shiselweni); Premier League of Eswatini; Women Football Association; Eswatini Referees Association; and the Eswatini Coaches Association. The date for the adoption of these statutes will be confirmed in due course.
