LUSOTI SCHOOLS AIMS FOR GOOD RESULTS IN THE KFC SCARA THIDWA FOUNDATION TOURNAMENT
RES Siyakha 1800 football programme participants, Lusoti Primary School and Lusoti High School have vowed to bring positive results in the KFC Scara Thindwa Foundation Tournament as they face opponents from outside the Lubombo region tomorrow at Manzini Club.
Lusoti Primary School which comprise of U13 team playing in Simunye Juniors League, will be facing Antioch Primary School, whilst Lusoti High School U15 team will lock horns with Manzini Central High School in what promises to be a hilarious football matches.
Both Lusoti Schools are parading juniors’ teams which are actively competing in the RES Siyakha 1800 Juniors Leagues, meaning that all the players are direct product of the programme. Interviewed ahead of the matches tomorrow, the coaches and some players promised to fight for glory.
Thandolwethu Lukhele (U13 Midfielder) – Lusoti Primary: ” We are ready to fight for a win. We need this match the most, hence I am inviting football fans especially pupils to come in numbers. I think respect and playing as a team is what will help us bring the positive results in this match”
Mukelwe ‘TLB’ Vilane (defender) – Lusoti Primary: “We want to defend this trophy. We will do whatever it takes to win this game. We have been doing well in training, and the spirit is good. As a defender I will make sure that nothing passes me”
Khulangezwi Dlamini (Striker) – Lusoti Primary: ” We are ready to fight inside the field of play. We have been training hard and we want to implement that in our game. Discipline and playing as a unity is what I think will win us the game. I am inspired by Nsingizini Hotspurs’ Thubelihle Mavuso”
Nyembe (Coach) – Lusoti High School: ” We want to defend this trophy so we know what to do inside the field of play. We have been doing well in preparations and it looks promising. We do not know our opponents (Antioch) well but we must ensure that we score an early goal to ease the pressure and settle the game. We promise fireworks and the players are eager to fight. We invite football lovers to come in numbers”
Enkhosi Nhlabatsi (Midfielder) – Lusoti High: “We will fight although our opponents are a closed book to us. We want to win this one for our region. Its difficult but it’s possible”
Luyandza Shongwe (striker) – Lusoti High School: “I am optimistic that I will score goals to help my team win the match against Manzini Central. I’m inspired by Nsingizini Hotspurs’ Yeki Khumalo”
Thembalethu Lukhele (captain) – Lusoti High School: “We need to represent the region well. We are ready to play and win the match. The spirit is high and the players are willing to fight inside the field of play.
Msane (Coach): Lusoti High School: “We play the same type of football with our primary school as we are from the same league. We promise to win the game. We invite football lovers to come in numbers to witness entertaining football”

RES Siyakha 1800 Football Programme Chief Co-ordinator, Sicelo Nene believes that the two Lusoti Schools team playing in the Scara Thindwa Foundation Tournament have what it takes to perform well. Both Lusoti High School (U15) and Lusoti Primary (U13) are part of the RES Siyakha 1800 Programme.
Interviewed ahead of the games at Manzini Club tomorrow, Nene expressed his delight that the RES Siyakha programme is bearing some fruits as evidenced by the performance of these schools in other tournaments. ” We are proud that these schools are products of the RES Siyakha Programme, which is continually producing great talent. We are proud of them and we hope that they will represent us well. They must win it for RES Siyakha” the Eswatini Football Association (EFA) Executive Committee member said.
The RES Siyakha 1800 Programme is a football developmental initiative which is financially backed by giant sugar manufacturing company, Royal Eswatini Sugar Corporation. The programme, which is played under the auspices of Lubombo Regional Football Association (LRFA), is divided into three categories namely; juniors league, seniors league and grassroots.
