SIHLANGU INTENSIFIES PREPARATIONS AHEAD OF THE FIFA WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS
As the match days of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers get closer, the Senior Men’s National Team (Sihlangu SeMnikati) continues to intensify its preparations. Currently the national team is in full-time camp at the EFA’s Technical Centre in Lobamba.
According to the national team head coach, Dominic Kunene, the preparations are going very well as the players are responding accordingly. “The preparations are going very well as the players are responding as per our expectations,” Kunene said. He also highlighted that he has enough players in camp considering that the national team will play two away matches in Angola and Mauritius. “We have enough players in camp whom we can rotate in these two matches. If we are forced to drop a player, we will not make any replacement considering that we are now in off- season,” Kunene said.
The national team captain, Sifiso Matse stated that as players they still have some hope of progressing in the competition. “We are working very hard to get good results as we still have the hope of qualifying to the next round of this competition,” Matse said. In terms of the fitness levels of players, the skipper is confidence that they are equal to the tasks. “Everyone is fit considering that the MTN Premier League has just ended,” Matse said.
