THE NATIONAL TEAM REPLICAS OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED

Living the football spirit and our pride. This is the slogan of the Eswatini Football Association (EFA). The true reflection of this slogan was witnessed on Thursday afternoon as the EFA officially launched the replicas of the Senior Men’s National Team (Sihlangu SeMnikati). These replicas are manufactured by umbro and they are in three colours which are blue (home), white (away), and yellow (alternative).

“We are proud to officially launch the new national team replicas which marks the second phase of the partnership between the EFA and umbro,” said the General Secretary (GS) of the EFA Frederick Mngomezulu. He also highlighted that these replicas just like the first ones, also have a watermark shield which is part of the national identity of the Kingdom of Eswatini. “These replicas have a watermark of a shield on the front just like the previous ones as the shield is part of the national identity. We urge the public to purchase these replicas as by so doing, they will be supporting football development in the country”, Mngomezulu said. The new replicas are just like the playing kits as the experience that the players get, the fans will also get it as the national team kit has been scientifically proven to suite the performance of the players”, Mngomezulu said.

Similar words were echoed by the Sihlangu SeMnikati captain Sifiso Matse who highlighted that as they have already used the new kit during the recently implemented FIFA World Cup Qualifiers and the TotalEnergies AFCON Preliminary Round Qualifiers, the new kit is well designed and as players they enjoyed using them and cannot wait to wear the kits again. “As players, we have already used the kits and we enjoyed every moment of it. We thank the EFA for such equipment and we cannot wait for the next match as we enjoyed using these new kits from umbro”, Matse said. Also present during the launch was another Eswatini international midfielder Kwakhe Thwala and the U20 Women’s National Team captain, Nomfundo Bhembe.

Each replica cost E450 and they will be available as from Friday afternoon at the Century Fashion (Mbabane), African Heritage (Mahhala), and Mr. Matata (Moneni).
