SOLDIER ON-EFA TO NSINGIZINI HOTSPURS FC

One Jesse Jackson once said “If you fall behind, run faster. Never give up, never surrender, and rise up against the odds”. This is the spirit that the EFA has urged Nsingizini Hotspurs F.C. to apply in as far as the second leg TotalEnergies CAF Confederations Cup match against Stellenbosch is concerned. Currently, Nsingizini Hotspurs F.C. is trailing by 3-0 to Stellenbosch F.C. and both teams play against each other on Saturday, 24th August 2024 at the Moses Mabida Stadium in Durban.

Nsingizini Hotspurs F.C. needs at least a 4-0 victory against the Cape Town based side to advance to the next round of the competition. When addressing Nsingizini Hotspurs F.C., the General Secretary of the Eswatini Football Association (EFA) Frederick Mngomezulu encouraged the team not to give up but to lift themselves up as it is not yet over. “It is still possible to progress as previously in the very same competition, one of our local team was trailing with a similar scoreline and they were able to turn the tables in the second leg and advance to the next round of the competition against a South African side,” Mngomezulu said. He concluded by wishing Nsingizini Hotspurs the very best of luck.
