SIHLANGU SEMNIKATI RECEIVES ROYAL BLESSINGS AHEAD OF THE HOLLYWOODBETS COSAFA CUP TOURNAMENT

The Senior Men’s National Team (Sihlangu SeMnikati) received and Royal blessings words of encouragement on Thursday afternoon during a special visit to the Ludzidzini Royal Residence. His Majesty King Mswati III through Ludzidzini Royal Residence Acting Governor Themba Ginidza, conveyed his well wishes to the squad ahead of their participation in the upcoming HollywoodBets COSAFA 2025 tournament in South Africa.

The King recognizing the national team as brand ambassadors of the Kingdom of Eswatini, encouraged the players to carry themselves with dignity and pride as they represent the nation on foreign soil. He urged the team to remain united, respect one another, and uphold the values of ubuntu and discipline that emaSwati are known for.

“Football can be tough and emotions may rise, but you must always control your temper and maintain the respectful spirit of EmaSwati,” His Majesty’s said. He also expressed hope that the team will bring home the gold medal, as a sign of progress and growth in Eswatini Football.

National team player, Felix Badenhorst echoed the King’s sentiments, affirming that the team is fully prepared and determined to make the nation proud. “We are ready. We know we’ve fallen short before with bronze being our highest achievement but this time, we are going for gold,” He confidently stated.
