SIHLANGU HEAD COACH LAMENT LOSS TO FATIGUE AND PRESSURE

After a loss to Mozambique on Tuesday night in the 2nd leg of the TotalEnergies AFCON Qualifier match played at the Mbombela Stadium on Tuesday night; the Senior Men’s National Team (Sihlangu SeMnikati) head coach Zdravoko Logarusic has lamented the 3-0 loss to fatigue and pressure. He observed that the players did not perform well in the 1st half; however, it was a better performance in the second half.

“The players did not perform well in the 1st half but it was a better performance in the 2nd half. I think fatigue killed us and possible pressure,” Logarusic said.

The coach stated that Mozambique deserved to win as they have experience players. “Mozambique deserved to win considering that they have experienced players who are based in Europe,” Logarusic said.

Future

When projecting about the future, the head coach thinks that the is a good fundamental for Eswatini as he saw a lot of positives. “The is good fundamental for Eswatini as I see many positives in the players,” Logarusic said. With the TotalEnergies Championship of African Nations (CHAN) to be played at the end of this month; the head coach promised to bring new faces in the national team. “I will bring new faces in the national team for the CHAN as Justice Figureido and Lindo Mkhonta will not be available,” Logarusic said.

Eswatini will play against Zimbabwe in the TotalEnergies CHAN Qualifiers with the aggregate winners to play against Madagascar in December.
