PLAYING A DRAW AGAINST CAMEROON NOT A COINCIDENCE

As the Eswatini Senior Men’s National Team finalizes the preparations for Sunday’s FIFA 2026 World Cup Qualifier match against Mauritius on Sunday afternoon, the head coach Zdravko Logarusic is aiming for positive results “I want to continue with the good results as show the globe that the results against Cameroon was not a coincidence”, Logarusic said.

After playing a no goal draw against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, and with Mauritius having lost their match against Cabo Verde the head coach highlighted that Sunday’s match will not be an easy one; however, they must show character. “It will be a difficult match as Mauritius will also fight for the maximum points. We must show charecture and score goals,” Logarusic said.

He also asked for more support for the national team. “I expect more fans to attend this match and hopefully the national team will give the fans some joy by being victorious in as far as this fixture is concerned”.

The coach’s words were echoed by Justice Figuareido who emphasised the significance of getting the maximum points on Sunday’s match. “Following the draw against highly rated Cameroonian players, we are motivated ahead of Sunday’s match which is a must win game for us rather than relying on others in as far as our future in the FIFA 2026 Worls Cup Qualifiers is concerned.

The kick-off for this match is at 1500hrs and ticketing cost E50/R50, and can be access at Computicket in all Shoprite Stores countrywide in Eswatini and the Republic of South Africa.
