OVER 130 CHILDREN PARTICIPATE IN THE EFA GRASSROOTS FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

As an effort to develop football in the country; the Eswatini Football Association (EFA) is implementing the grassroots football development programme around the country with the latest activities of this initiative being executed in Magubheleni and Gege. Other grassroots football development programmes have been executed in Matsapha, Madlangempisi, Shewula, Nkhaba, Hlathikulu, and Nhlangano.

The main focus of this football development programme is on making the sport accessible and enjoyable, fostering a love for the game and providing opportunities for social interaction. The primary goal is to lay a strong foundation for the sport, promoting development and enjoyment for all involved.

As part of this football development programme, the participants get involved in training sissions that are typically fun and engaging, focusing on bansic skills and enjoyment. When implementing this football development programme; the EFA is able to engage the community as it works in collaboration with local clubs, schools, and other community organizations.

In both places (Magubheleni and Gege), over 130 children participated and they benefited in terms of their physical health, socially, and in other life skills. The EFA urges other organizations to collaborate with it in as far as this football development programme is concerned as it can be pivotal in as far as the development of the Eswatini Child is concerned.
