KHANYISILE PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS VISIT SIHLANGU SEMNIKATI

With just few days left before the kick-off of the Hollywoodbets COSAFA Cup; the Senior Men’s National Team (Sihlangu SeMnikati) had special guests at their camp site at the Technical Centre in Lobamba. This was after the Khanyisile Primary School’s grade 7 students embarked on an educational tour to the Eswatini Football Association (EFA) facilities to align themselves with what the organisation’s business and the sport in general. Their first stop was at Sigwaca House in Mbabane which is the Head Quarters of the EFA. They then proceeded to the Technical Centre in Lobamba which is the camp base of the national team ahead of the Hollywoodbets COSAFA Cup.

Part of the content that was presented to the students was about the existance of the EFA and the history of football just to mention but a few. At Sigwaca House, they met the EFA’s General Assembly Frederick Mngomezulu and the staff members before meeting the national team and the Technical Department of the EFA at the Technical Centre in Lobamba.

Expressing their appreciation about the tour was Shanelle Lulane who is the Head Girl of the school. She acknowledged the hospitality and the information that was presented to them by the EFA. “The hospitality was good, and the presentation were educational. It was also exiting to meet the national team and to know that the girl child can also participate in international football,” Lulane said.

The EFA Marketing and Communications Manager, Muzi Radebe acknowledged this initiative by Khanyisile Primary School as the students got the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the football business. “Such initiatives are key as they make the children to be more interested in football and by so doing, the future of the sport and the country is being enhanced. It needs a collective community to develop a child; thus, the significance of teamwork by the society,” Radebe said.
