MBABANE DOMINATED IN THE TDS CENTRE MATCHES
The Talent Development Scheme Games that were implemented on Saturday presented the talented child an opportunity to display his/her football artistry at the EFA’s Technical Centre in Lobamba. These games included the U15 Boys, U17 Boys, and U17 Girls.
In the U15 Boys category, five TDS Centres competed and they were Manzini, Mbabane, Lobamba, and Siphofaneni. Manzini emerged as champions with Mbabane being the runners-up. In the U17 Boys category, 6 TDS centres competed. They were Mbabane, Manzini, Siteki, Nhlangano. Lobamba, and Siphofaneni. Mbabane emerged as champions with Manzini being the runners-up. In the U17 Girls tournament, four centres competed. These were Mbabane, Mkhuzweni, Matsapha, and Lobamba. Mbabane emerged as champions with Mkhuzweni being runners-up.
The main purpose of these games was to provide a competitive platform for these centres as the players are being trained by the coaches in their respective centres. The TDS is a football development programme where the talented child is being identified and nurtured. The EFA established centres around the country where the talented child is being trained; and strategically the TDS games are being executed as an effort to complement the weekly training of the talented child in his/her respective centre.
The talented child is being identified from the various football development programmes in the country. More TDS games are yet to be executed with the immediate ones to be played in August 2025. The EFA takes this opportunity to acknowledge the parents of the talented child as some of them attended the matches which was a great motivation to the talented child. Below are the final logs of Saturday’s games.
