The Senior Women’s National Team, (Sitsebe SaMhlekaz)i, suffered a 3-0 defeat against the hosts, South Africa (Banyana Banyana), in a challenging match at the on-going Hollywoodbets COSAFA Women’s Championship on Friday afternoon.

Head Coach Bongani Makhukhula lamented on the team’s mistakes that led to them conceding goals. “We committed mistakes that resulted in us conceding those goals; however, moving forward, it is a learning curve for us as we are in a rebuilding phase,” Makhukhula stated.

The head coach also emphasized their commitment to giving a maximum performance in their final game. “It’s not going to be a stroll in the park; we are going to give it our best to finish in a respectable position,” he said.

Eswatini will face Namibia in their final group game on Monday, 28th October 2024 at Madibaz Stadium, scheduled for 15:00 hrs.
