SITSEBE SAMHLEKAZI VICTORIOUS IN THE OPENING MATCH OF THE HOLLYWOODBETS COSAFA WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP 2024

The Senior Women National Team (Sitsebe SaMhlekazi), celebrated a resounding victory, defeating Seychelles 6-0 in the 2024 Hollywoodbets Cosafa Women’s Championship. The match took place at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha.

Celiwe Nkambule opened the scoring just three minutes into the game, setting a dynamic tone for the match. Tenanile Ngcamphalala then added to the tally during stoppage time, allowing Eswatini to lead 2-0 at halftime.

Eswatini returned to the pitch with a fierce determination, and Celiwe struck again in the 53rd minute. Demonstrating their prowess, Tenanile followed suit, finding the back of the net in the 63rd minute.

The match was a thrilling spectacle, with Tenanile completing her hattrick and Nokuthula Ndlovu joining the scoring spree with the sixth goal. This impressive performance not only secured a convincing win but also ensured a clean sheet for Eswatini.

Looking ahead, Eswatini will face South Africa in their second match of Group A on Friday, 25 October 2024, at Wolfson Stadium, scheduled for 15:00 hrs.
