The FIFA MA Administration Course that is currently taking place, was officially opened by the President of the National Football association of Swaziland (NFAS); Senator Adam Mthethwa in an event that was held at the Technical Centre in Lobamba. Present during this event was the Chief Executive Officer of the NFAS; Mr. Frederick Mngomezulu, the FIFA Instructor; Mr. Jacquer Desire Laval Malie and the Technical Director (TD) of the NFAS just to mention a few.
When addressing the audience, the President of the NFAS, compared this course as a mini-congress due to the presence of the Executive Members from the different members of the NFAS amongst the participants. He also highlighted to the participants about the importance of knowledge in football. “It is very important to equip ourselves with the knowledge of football as we have a huge responsibility of improving our football”, he said. In conclusion, the President of the NFAS expressed his gratitude on behalf of the NFAS to FIFA for the continuous support towards the development of football in the country.
The FIFA Instructor also had some words to share with the audience during the event. He thanked the NFAS for the great hospitality since his arrival in the country and also shared his delight in as far as the progress in the local game of football is concerned. “I am very thankful to the NFAS for the wonderful hospitality since my arrival and I am also impressed with the progress of your game as I enjoyed top class football at the Somhlolo National Stadium”, he said. The FIFA Instructor also stated that without good administration, there is no possible development in football, thus the importance of such coursed. The FIFA Instructor also shared his delight to the NFAS for hosting this course as it also facilitates the sharing of experiences.
The Senior National team (Sihlangu SeMnikati) will be in full time training camp during this upcoming FIFA International week. This training camp will commence on Monday, 2nd - Tuesday, 10th October 2017 at the Technical Centre in Lobamba. It is part of the national team’s preparations for the upcoming TOTAL Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier match against Tunisia on home soil, which will be played on the 28th March 2017. The National Football Association of Swaziland (NFAS) will as from Monday, 2nd to Friday; 6th October 2017 host a FIFA MA Basic Administration Course, at the Technical Centre in Lobamba. The FIFA appointed instructor for this course is Mr. Jacquer Desire Laval Malie from Mauritius.
Some of the topics that will be part of this course include; Planning, Human Resources, Finance Management and Communication just to mention a few. The purpose of this course is to empower the participants with vital and appropriate football skills more particularly as they are placed in vital administration and management positions in the governance of the game. The empowerment in the technical aspect of football administration will enhance the practical leadership and management in all the realms within the football association, thus assuring informed and sustained maturity of the game. The participants are also expected to attend a meeting on Saturday, 30th September 2017 at the Technical Centre in Lobamba. The 2017 High schools Women National Champions'; Elangeni High School, received a kind gesture from Ocean Basket in a form of a soccer kit. This school was crowned champions after winning against Hillside High School by 3-0. The key existence of this football development programme is to develop women football in the country as these players are being recruited by the different women's football clubs that play under the Women Football Association (WFA).
When making his remarks, the Chief executive Officer (CEO) of the National Football Association of Swaziland (NFAS) thanked Ocean Basket for her investment towards football development in the country. "As the NFAS, we would like to thank Ocean Basket for her investment towards football development in the country and more especially women's football", said the CEO. He also highlighted that these women's football development programme plays a vital role towards the development of players as they end up playing in the Women's Football League (WFL) and ultimately the Women's National Team, Sitsebe SaMhlekazi.
Ocean Basket's Executive Director, Mrs Thokozile Vilakati- Jele, extended the organization's gratitude towards their involvement in this football development initiative more so as it involves the Swazi Girl child ina sport that is male dominated. "As ocean Basket, w really appreciate to be part of this football development initiative as we develop the Swazi Girl Child through a sport that is male dominated which is a good platform for girl/women empowerment in the country", she said. The Executive Director also congratulated the champions and also encourage other girls to participate in sports.
Speaking on behalf of here colleagues, was Thandeka Mbatha who extended their appreciation to both The NFAS and Ocean Basket for empowering them through football by providing the platform to showcase their football artistry. With more support from stakeholders, women football in the country can reach greater heights.
As part of its infrastructure and football development initiatives, the site inspection of the National Football Association of Swaziland's (NFAS) KaLanga Project was done on Monday, 25th September 2017. Present during this event was the Vice President of the NFAS; Mr. Peter Simelane,Members of the Executive Committee of the NFAS, Lugongolweni Member of Parliament (MP); Mr Joseph Sauza, Indvuna YeMphakatsi of KaLanga; Mr Solomon Mhambi Mbingo, Representatives of the Land and Management Board, Representatives of the Regional Administration Office just to name a few. This project is for the construction of the new Technical Centre of the NFAS and will be done by Total Concrete Solutions and Homeboys Construction.
When making his remarks, the Vice President of the NFAS; Mr. Peter Simelane, thanked the KaLanga Chiefdom for offering the land to the NFAS for such an important project as it will be part of the development initiatives within the area. "On behalf of the NFAS, I would like to thank the KaLanga Chiefdom for this land as this is a vital project that will also develop this area", said the Vice President. He also pleaded to the constructors to prioritize the people of KaLanga in as far as employment opportunities are concerned so that they also benefit from this project.
Also making his remark, was Mr. Solomon Mhambi Mbingo (Indvuna YeMphakatsi) who thanked the NFAS for choosing KaLanga for this vital project. "We would like to thank the NFAS for choosing KaLanga for this project as the football association could have chosen other places", he said. He also acknowledged the NFAS for its quick reaction in as far as the implementation process is concerned, as this site inspection symbolizes the beginning of the project. The Lugongolweni MP; Mr Joseph Souza echoed the Indvuna YeMphakatsi's words as he thanked the NFAS for this project and also pleaded to the constructors to employ people from KaLanga are and the surroundings first inorder to maximize the benefits of this project in the area.
According to the architecture; Mr. Zwelithini Mahlalela, this project includes a playing ground, two dressing rooms, referees rooms, first aid room, hall and the administration block just to mention a few.
The Senior Womens' National Team, (Sitsebe SaMhlekazi) will participate in the TOTAL Women's Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers. Qualification dates for these matches are yet to be communicated by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). "Sitsebe SaMhlekazi will participate in the TOTAL Women's African Nations Cup, which will start with the qualification stage before the finals that will be held in Ghana in November 2018", said the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Football Association of Swaziland (NFAS). This is one way in which the NFAS is enhancing the development of women's football in the country as through this competition, the local players will gain more experience and international exposure which will further improve the standard of play in the local game. Sitsebe SaMhlekazi is fresh from the COSAFA Women's Championship that is currently going on in Zimbabwe where they just missed it to the semi-finals stage of the competition.

This is as per Circular No. 106 with reference to the registration of players and clubs for the 2017/2018 football season.
The NFAS/Build it Siteki Championship will take centre stage this coming Saturday; 23rd September 2017 as the Siteki Sports Ground. This will be the final store event of this 11th edition of this prestigious football development programme by the National Football Association of Swaziland (NFAS) and the Build it brand. Other store events were held in Nhlangano, Manzini, Matsapha, Mbabane, Piggs Peak, Buhleni and Matata. After this weekend’s store event, the focus will be on the National Championship which will be contested for by the eight (8) pick teams that were formed from the 8 store event as the one for Siteki is to be formed on Saturday.

This implies that the best players that were identified by the qualified coaches of the NFAS will display their football artistry in an event that will take place on the 7th October 2017 at the Somhlolo National Stadium where some of the players will be selected to be part of the U13s National Team. The Senior Women's National Team (Sitsebe SaMhlekazi) is out of the 2017 COSAFA Women's Championships after losing the must win match against the guest nation of the competition, Kenya by an odd goal. This goal was scored in the 90th minute which cancelled any hope for the local side to advance to the semi-finals of the competition. Sitsebe SaMhlekazi finished the group stage matches in position 2 of group B with 4 points behind Kenyans who won all their group stage matches thus claiming the total of 9 points. In this match, Sitsebe SaMhlekazi's goalkeeper was named player of the match as she made several important saves to keep Swaziland in the game. The other countries who qualified to the semi finals stage are Zambia, South Africa and Zimbabwe who are the host of this competition. The semi-finals will be played on Thursday, 21st September 2017.
Catch them whilst they are young. The NFAS/Build it U13s Matata Championship was a huge success as the youngsters displayed their football artistry on Saturday; 16th September 2017 in Matata. A total of 8 football clubs competed in this tournament. These football clubs were divided into 2 groups of 4 football clubs. In group A, Juventus FC and USA Distillers FC qualified for the semi-finals whilst in group B, Young Stars FC and Matata FC qualified for the semi- finals. Juventus FC and USA Distillers FC qualified for the finals after winning their semi-final matches respectively. The former were too good for Matata FC after winning the semi- final match against Matata FC by 3-0 whilst the latter won their semi-final match against Young Stars by 4-3.
In the finals, Juventus FC won by 2-1 against USA Distillers. The player of the day was Ce4limphilo Dlamini from Juventus FC, who it is also in the Build Matata Pick Team. The rest of the players in the Pick Team are as follows:
