THE PREMIER LEAGUE OF SWAZILAND GREATLY APPRECIATES THE SUPPORT FROM HIS MAJESTY KING MSWATI III AND THE STAKEHOLDERS

The Premier League of Swaziland (PLS) greatly appreciates the support from His Majesty King Mswati III, the Royal Household, Sponsors, Football Family, Fans and the Media in as far as the 2016/2017 football season was concerned. This transpired during the PLS Annual General Meeting (AGM) that was held at Sigwaca House on Thursday, 10th August 2017.

When presenting the 2017/2018 PLS report, the Chief Operations Officer (COO) highlighted that PLS is always indebted to the support that she gets from His Majesty King Mswati III as he grace their activities. “As PLS we greatly appreciate the support that we got from His Majesty King Mswati III and the Royal Household as they graced our events which included the Finals and prize presentation ceremony of the MVA Ingwenyama Cup Competition, Swazi Bank Cup Final and the SPTC Charity Cup Competition, for the previous football season”, he said. He also thanked the sponsors, football family, fans and the media for their roles that they played in the successful implementation of the aforementioned competitions plus the MTN Premier League.

As the new season is about to kick-off, the COO urged the clubs to fully utilize the pre-season in terms of preparations inorder to match the taxing football season as there are a lot of matches to be played within a short period of time considering the international matches that are also on the card. Lastly, he also urged the clubs to continue competing in the true sportsmanship spirit in order to entertain the fans who are the consumers of the beautiful game.

The new football season is scheduled to kick –off with the SPTC Charity Cup, and the league will follow on the second week of September.
