The U20 Men National Team participated in the SAFA Durban Central Tournament where they played 4 group stages matches. They won 3 matches and drew 1 match. These results made them to qualify for the semi- finals where they won by an odd goal thus qualifying for the finals. They lost the final match by an odd goal which made them to be the runners up of the competition. According to the U20s Men’s National Team Coach; Mandla “Stofu” Dlamini, the national team played very well, however; there is still more room for improvement. “This was a good competition as were able to see our short falls as a national team. Having said that, the national team played very well and the players showed a very good fighting spirit. However, there is still more room for improvement on both the technical and tactical aspect of the players”, he said.
