The 2017 Charity Cup Competition that was held at the Somhlolo National Stadium was a huge success. This event was graced by His Majesty King Mswati III, together with the Royal Household.

Also present to support the cup of hope event, was the Head of Government who was represented by the Deputy Prime Minister; Paul Dlamini, his Cabinet and Civil Service, Members of both Houses of Parliament, Swaziland Post and Telecommunications' (SPTC) Management and staff, Football family, Invited guest, Fans and the Media.

It was a huge turnout in as far as the fans were concerned which was a testimonial to the edition's slogan (Yam' Nawe), as everyone contributed to the course of uplifting the disadvantaged souls of the country.

Mbabane Swallows FC (both senior and U20 teams) were crowned Champions respectively. The senior team won against Royal Leopards by 5-4 after penalties. This was after both teams drew 1-1 after 90 minutes. The U 20 team won against Mbabane Highlanders by 2-1. In the first match of the day, Royal Leopards won against Moneni Pirates by 5-3. The second match was the Mbabane derby between Mbabane Highlanders FC and Mbabane Swallows FC with the later winning by 2-1 thus qualifying for the finals against Royal Leopards.
