The Hhohho Youth Development
The Hhohho Youth Development is a standing Committee of the Hhohho Regional Football Association which is tasked with establishment of Junior Leagues in all the HRFA Regional Leagues. The Hhohho Region has experienced an increase in the number of junior leagues in the 2018/2019. The junior leagues were established in the following regions; Mdzimba, Maphalaleni and Nkhaba.
Objective and Aims
As per article 56 of the HRFA Constitution the Hhohho Youth Development aims as follows:
The Hhohho Youth Development calendar starts from February to August; this schedule helps accommodate the players to prepare for School Examination as most of the participants in the development are scholars, however due to the geographic location of the leagues some juniors leagues are forced to start at the end of May especially in the rural based areas agriculture is mostly practiced and the young males play a major role in looking after cattle.
EFA ACKNOWLEDGES THE PRESENCE OF HIS MAJESTY KING MSWATI III DURING THE 17th EPTC CHARITY CUP FINALS?
The Eswatini Football Association (EFA) and the football family at large has extended a special gratitude to His Majesty the King Mswati III together with the Royal Household for gracing the 2019 EPTC Charity Cup that was held on Sunday, 11th August 2019 at the Somhlolo National Stadium.” As football association and family, we are always humbled by His Majesty’s presence. The presence of His majesty gave the event heightened prestige and glamour also endorsed the unifying of the nation and this added Majestic value and ensured the success of this event. Further appreciation was directed to the Head of Government of the Kingdom of Eswatini; his Cabinet and Civil Service; Members of both Houses of Parliament; Eswatini Posts and Telecommunications Board, Management and Staff; Football family, Invited guests, Fans and the Media for being part of this historic event. The statement also highlighted that the beautiful game of football was played in a good spirit and the support was very good which perfectly endorses the tournaments slogan “Yam’ Nawe, Sphakeme Futsi”. “The high attendance of football fans and high quality of football artistry by all the teams who participated in this tournament indeed made charity and football to be the ultimate winner”; the statement read.
Over and above, the EFA congratulated the Champions; Mbabane Highlanders FC, for being the champions of this tournament. “None of these could have been a success without the sponsors EPTC and its Management Committee who presented a well – coordinated programme and worked very hard from its launch to the very end of this tournament. The football family remains greatly indebted to Eswatini Posts and Telecommunications Corporations (EPTC)”; the statement concluded.
EFA ACKNOWLEDGES THE PRESENCE OF HIS MAJESTY THE KING MSWATI III DURING THE ESWATINI BANK FINALS
The Eswatini Football Association (EFA) has extended a special tribute and momentous gratitude to His Majesty The King Mswati III together with the Royal Household for gracing the fifteenth (15th) edition of the Eswatini Bank Cup Finals, which decorated the winners of the 2019 Eswatini Bank Cup Competition. “As football association and family, we are always greatly humbled by His Majesty’s attendance”; said part of the statement sent to the media.
The presence of His Majesty The King Mswati III gave this event the glamour and Royal Extravagance. Even though the game of football has the potential of unifying people; the presence of His Majesty The King Mswati III endorsed the unifying factor of the nation and this added majestic value and ensured the success of this event; read part of the statement from EFA.

Indeed “Solo Inje” as this tournament’s slogan goes assured to keep to the standards as it was well executed and football was being played in a good spirit which perfectly endorsed the bank’s slogan of being “ A bank with a Heart”; the statement continued.
Finally the EFA congratulated the Winning Clubs; Young Buffaloes FC for the Grand Prize, Tambuti FC for the U20 championship, and Manzini Wanderers Ladies Team for being champions in the Women’s competition. None of such a success could have been actualized without the sponsors, Eswatini Bank and the Management Committee of this tournament who presented a well coordinated programme from its inception to the very end of the edition. YOUNG BUFFALOES FC BECOMES THE 2ND TEAM TO WIN THE SMVA INGWENYAMA CUP
The army side, Young Buffaloes FC has become the 2nd team to win the SMVA Ingwenyama Cup competition. This marked the end of the total dominance of Mbabane Swallows FC who had won this Majestic competition in 3 successive football season since it inaugural implementation. Young Buffaloes won this title at the expense of Mbabane Highlanders FC whom they walloped by 3-0.
For their efforts, the army side got a floating trophy plus E1.2 Million. There were other winners on the day as there were several champions even on the cultural category as this tournament perfectly blends football and culture. The patron of the SMVA Ingwenyama Cup also witnessed the final event of the 4th edition of this unique tournament. Also present during this event was the former President of the Republic of South Africa, Dr. Jacob Zuma. Now it still remain to be seen if Young Buffaloes will continue with the same championship trend of this tournament just like the former champions who were able to defend it for two consecutive football seasons which made the Mbabane based side to permanently keep the trophy.

The Executive Committee is the one that leads the organization. It is the headed by the President of the Eswatini Football Association (EFA), who is assisted by three (3) Vice Presidents. The other Members of the Executive Committee are the four (4) Chairmen of the Regional Football association, Chairman of the Women Football Association, the General Secretary (GS) of the EFA and two (2) other Members, who are Chairmen of the standing committees.
Within the EFA structure, the is a Secretariat, which is responsible for the day-to- day tasks of the EFA's office under the full guidance of the GS who is also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the EFA. The full operations of the Secretariat is under the auspice of the Executive Committee of the EFA.
These are the member affiliates of the EFA. They are eight (8) in total. They run the official football business under the auspice of the EFA.
Premier League of Eswatini
This is an affiliate of the EFA that runs the elite football in the country. It is made has twenty- six affiliates, which are the twelve (14) Premier League and twelve (12) First Division clubs. The PLS is governed by twenty- six (26) Board of Governors which implies that each club is represented in the Board of Governors. The Board of Governors is headed by its Chairman who is also an Executive Member of the EFA. The Chairman is Mr Peter Magagula.
Hhohho Regional Football AssociationThis is an affiliate of the EFA that runs the official football competitions in the Hhohho Region. In football terms, this region is divided into two regions. These regions are the northern and southern regions.
Manzini Regional Football AssociationThis is an affiliate of the EFA that runs the official football competitions in the Manzini Region.
Shiselweni Regional Football AssociationThis is an affiliate of the EFA that runs the official football competitions under the Shiselweni Region. In football terms, the SRFA is divided into two sub regions, which are the northern and southern Shiselweni regions. The Shiselweni Regional Football Association (SRFA) is led by its Chairman, Mr Bhekani Khumalo. He also represents the SRFA in the Executive Committee of the EFA.
Women Football AssociationThis is an affiliate of the EFA that runs the official women's football competition in the country. The Women Football Association (WFA) has thirteen (13) affiliates who are the women football clubs competing in the Women Football League. The WFA is led by its Chairman, Mr Sonnyboy Mabuza. He also represents the WFA in the Executive Committee of the EFA.
Eswatini National Coaches AssociationThis is an affiliate of the NFAS that looks after the welfare and conducts of coaches in the country. The Eswatini National Coaches Association (ENCA) is led by its Chairman, Mr Anthony Mdluli.
Eswatini National Referees AssociationThis is an affiliate of the EFA that looks at the welfare and conduct of the referees in the country. The Eswatini National Referees Association is led by its Chairman, Mr Sipho Kunene.
There are numerous competitions that are being contested for by domestic and national teams. This implies that the competitions are classified into domestic and international competitions.
The Head Coach for the U17 Women National Team is Promise Vilakati, Nkosinathi Lukhele is the Assistant Coach, Ronnie Ginindza is the Fittness Coach and Sukoluhle Sibandze is the Goalkeeper Coach.
The U20 Women National Team’s technical bench consist of Siphiwe Simelane (Head Coach), Friday Myeni (Assistant Coach), Ronnie Ginindza (Fitness Coach) and Bongani Dladla (Goalkeeper Coach). Most of the U20 Women National Team players are chosen from the Schools Woman Football development Programme.
