Technical & Development Committee

1. The Technical and Development Committee shall consist of a Chairman and four other members.

2. The Technical and Development Committee shall:

a) Primarily analyze the basic aspects of football training and technical development and advance the training methods of the football teams;

b) improve the qualifications of the trainers and coaches;

c) resolve questions on theory and practice;

d) examine and generalize the experience in teaching football;

e) organize courses and conferences for instructors, trainers, coaches and administrators in conjunction with FIFA, CAF or COSAFA

f) Recommend coaches and trainers for posts under the jurisdiction of the Association when requested to do so.

g)Examine the availability of and provide where possible suitable football field.

Organizing Committee For EFA Competitions

1. The Organizing Committee for the EFA competitions shall comprise of a chairman and four (4) other members

2. The Organizing Committee for the EFA competitions shall:

a) Organize the competitions of the EFA in compliance with the provisions of these Statutes and the regulations applicable to the EFA competitions;

b) Develop Rules and Regulations for each tournament which is approved by the Executive Committee;

c) Notify the Executive Committee of any meeting it intends to hold with clubs;

d) Enforce its Rules and Regulations;

e) Fixture clubs in football competitions;

f) Establish procedures for the above.

Internal Audit Committe

1. The Internal Audit Committee shall consist of a Chairman and four other members.

2. The Internal Audit Committee shall:

a) Ensure the completeness and reliability of the financial accounting of the EFA;

b) Review the external auditors' report at the request of the Executive Committee.

Finance Committee

1.The Finance Committee shall consist of a Chairman and four other members.

2.The Finance Committee shall:

  •  Monitor the financial management and advise the Executive Committee on financial matters and asset management;
  •  Analyze the budget of the NFAS and the financial statements prepared by the General Secretary and then submit them to the Executive Committee for approval.

 

About Us

The Eswatini Football association (EFA) was founded in 1968, the same year when Eswatini gained independence from the British under the Presidency of the late Harry Sibhaha Dlamini. History has it that the country started playing organized league football in 1973.

The EFA thereafter affiliated to the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in 1978. The association eventually affiliated to the Council of Southern African Football Associations (COSAFA) in 1983 where Eswatini was one of the founding members.

In 2000, under the Presidency of Mr Adam Mthethwa, the EFA hired a full-time Chief Executive Officer/ General Secretary to head the Secretariat of the association.

It is worth mentioning that the EFAS affiliated to COSAFA in 1993 during his presidency. It is also during this period that the EFAS hired a Chief Executive Officer/General Secretary for the first time, to head the Secretariat of the organization.

It is worth mentioning that the NFAS affiliated to both CAF and FIFA during his term in 1978.

Under 15 & 13

The U15 Men’s National team normally competes in tournaments within the COSAFA Region. The technical bench of the U15 national team comprises of Sifiso Dlamini (Head Coach), Xolani Sigudla (Assistant Coach), Nyama Shongwe (Fitness Coach) and Lucky Masuku (Goalkeeper Coach).

The U13 Men’s National Team normally competes in tournaments within the COSAFA Region. This national team acts as the entry point for players in as far as the international football is concerned. Most of the U13 national team players come from the Build it U13 Football development Programme. The technical bench of the U13 national team comprises of Bongani Makhanya (Head Coach), Lwazi Simelane (Assistant Coach), Percy Simelane (Goalkeeper Coach) and Sibusiso Fakudze (Fitness Coach).

The Executive Committee

  • The Executive Committee shall be responsible for the execution of the policies and decisions of the General Assembly, the management and administration of the EFA.
  • It shall take decisions on all matters that do not fall within the sphere of responsibility of the General Assembly or other bodies by law or under these Statutes;
  • The Executive Committee shall appoint the chairmen and members of the Standing Committees and Judicial bodies;
  • The Executive Committee may decide to set up ad-hoc committees if necessary at any time;
  • The Executive Committee shall compile regulations for the organization of standing committees and ad-hoc committees;
  • The Executive Committee may delegate tasks arising out of its area of authority to other bodies of the EFA or third parties;
  • It may dismiss members of Standing Committees if they are guilty of serious violation of their duty and replace them for the remainder of their term of office.
  • It shall appoint or dismiss the General Secretary on the proposal of the President.The General Secretary shall attend meetings of the Executive Committee ex-officio;
  • Shall propose independent auditors to the General Assembly;
  • Shall decide the place and dates of and the number of teams participating in the competitions of the EFA. It shall be the supreme authority for all matters concerning the EFA competitions;
  • The Executive Committee shall approve regulations stipulating how the EFA shall be organized internally;
  • Shall appoint the coaches for the representative teams and other technical staff;
  • Shall ensure that the Statutes are applied and adopt the executive arrangements for their application;
  • Acquire by way of purchased, donation, aid or grant or lease any property moveable or immovable and dispose of the same by way of sale, lease, donation, or otherwise, subject to approval by the General Assembly.
  • To enter into contract on behalf of the EFA.
  • To call for and examine audited accounts of any member association before such association could receive grants-in aid (where and if applicable);
  • Regulate its procedures.
  • Recommend to the EFA the award of medals, diplomas, trophies and other incentives for the encouragement and promotion of sporting and activities for outstanding sporting achievements;
  • Invite at its discretion one or more persons to attend a meeting or meetings for the purpose of assisting the committee in any matter.
  • A person invited under sub-section s(i) above may participate in the deliberations of the Executive of the Executive Committee but shall have no vote.
  • Receive accounts, budgets and reports of associations and make recommendations to the NFAS;
  • Order an association to elect an interim committee in the event of an executive Committee of a member association or league is suspended;
  • Order and supervise the handover of the assets and all official documents of the member association by the suspended Executive Committee to the interim Executive Committee.
