The Senior Women's National Team (Sitsebe SaMhlekazi) is out of the 2017 COSAFA Women's Championships after losing the must win match against the guest nation of the competition, Kenya by an odd goal. This goal was scored in the 90th minute which cancelled any hope for the local side to advance to the semi-finals of the competition. Sitsebe SaMhlekazi finished the group stage matches in position 2 of group B with 4 points behind Kenyans who won all their group stage matches thus claiming the total of 9 points. In this match, Sitsebe SaMhlekazi's goalkeeper was named player of the match as she made several important saves to keep Swaziland in the game. The other countries who qualified to the semi finals stage are Zambia, South Africa and Zimbabwe who are the host of this competition. The semi-finals will be played on Thursday, 21st September 2017.
