The Senior Women's National Team (Sitsebe SaMhlekazi) played two (2) international friendly matches against two Namibians National Teams. The first match was between the Brave Gladiators which was played on Saturday, 26th August 2017 at the Namibian Football Association's (NFA) Technical Centre. Sitsebe SaMhlekazi lost by 3-2. It was the home side that drew the first bloood through Twelikondjela Amukoto's header. The Namibians scored 2 more goals before half time to make the score line 3-0 through Anna Marie Shikusho who scored a brace. Sitsebe SaMhlekazi came back stronger in the second half as they were able to score their first goal of the match through Celiwe Nkambule. The Swazi side continued to apply more pressure to the Namibians and they were rewarded for their efforts as they scored their second goal of the match via the boot of Ncobile Dlamini who converted a penalty.
On Sunday, 27th August 2017, Sitsebe SaMhlekazi played another international friendly match against the Young Gladiators of Namibia and they lost by 4-3 on penalties after playing to a 2-2 draw. It was the Namibian's Kyle van Wyk that opened the scoreline as the host lead by a solitary goal until half time. In the second half, the host increased the score line as they doubled the advantage through Lillie Kasheeta. Sitsebe SaMhlekazi managed to force the match into penalty shoot- out after Ncobile Dlamini scored a brace in the second half.
Sitsebe SaMhlekazi used these international friendly matches as part of the preparations for the upcoming COSAFA Women's Championships to be held in Zimbabwe as from the 13th - 24th September 2017.
