KWAKHE OPTIMISTIC AHEAD OF THE MATCH AGAINST BOTSWANA

Inspiration comes from within yourself. This is the spirit the national team midfielder Kwakhe Tfwala and his international teammates are currently demonstrating in camp ahead of the opening match of the 2023 Hollywoodbets COSAFA Cup to be played tomorrow at the King Zwelithini Stadium at Umlazi in Durban. Kick-off for this match is at 1500hrs. When interviewed after today’s training that was held at Virginia FC, the left footed utility player stated that, the time they were waiting for in as far as this tournament is concerned has arrived and as players, they have committed themselves to do better than before. “The time has arrived and the is no turning back. As players we had fully committed ourselves during the preparation and now, we want to make the nation happy”, Tfwala said. Stopper as he is affectionately called by his teammates highlighted that this will be a competitive match; however, they have to get maximum points from this match. “Botswana is not an easy team to beat, but we have to get the maximum points from this match,” Tfwala said.

When queried about the huge opportunities that are attached to this tournament in terms of getting lucrative contracts from international teams, Kwakhe highlighted that even though he was aware about that, he does not want to put himself under too much pressure on himself. “Yes, the are huge opportunities in terms of being watched by scouts but I don’t want to put too much pressure on myself,” Tfwala said. He also advised other players who will be playing their maiden Hollywoodbets COSAFA Cup tournament to take it easy and play their normal game. “I advise players who will be making their first appearance in this tournament to keep it simple and play their normal game”, he said. Finall, he urged EmaSwati to support them during this tournament. “I urge the nation to support the national team,” Kwakhe concluded.
