TOGO EXPECTS A TOUGH MATCH AGAINST ESWATINI

The match between Eswatini and Togo is more like a final as both camps are targeting for maximum points in order to still have some hope of qualifying for the TotalEnergies AFCON Finals to be played early next year in Ivory Coast. When speaking to the press, the assistant coach of the Togolese Senior Men’s National Team, Paulo Pedro highlighted that Eswatini has progressed a lot over the years. Eswatini is a team that progressed a lot and they work hard as a team. They fight a lot for the ball thus we expect a competitive game”, Pedro said.

Having said that, he also stated that their aim for this match is to do their best in as far as this match is concerned. “We have the best players at the moment and we will do our best in as far as this match is concerned,” Pedro said. His words were echoed by Emmanuel Hackman who is a defender. “We have a great time at the moment and we are confident that we will win”, Hackman said. In as far as the 1st leg match was concerned, the defender highlighted that they were punished by Eswatini on the mastakes that they made. Eswatini held Togo by 2-2 in Lome and they are at the bottom of the log whilst Eswatini is on the 3rd spot and both national teams have 2 points.
