IT’S TIME FOR ESWATINI TO TAKE ITS PLACE AMONG FOOTBALL’S TOP TABLES- MINISTER OF SPORTS

The Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs Hon. Harries Bulunga has congratulated the national team for preserving to make it thus far. “I would like to congratulate the national team for the hard work, battling it out for a place in the 2020 Total CHAN Finals. Indeed , we are now standing on the brink of history; within touching distance of achieving a feat no one has ever accomplished”, Minister said. He made his remarks during the farewell ceremony for the Senior Men’s National Team (Sihlangu) to Zambia on Thursday, 17th October 2019 at the Technical Centre, in Lobamba.

When addressing the audience, the Minister stated that His Majesty’s Government and the nation at large have full support to the national team and equally believe in their capabilities of making a history. “We are not sending you out for defeat, we are aware of the progress that you have made. We hope that such will be used as a solid foundation towards achieving the subsequent and eagerly awaited success of our national team”, Bulunga said.

“The time has come for Eswatini to take its place among football’s top tables, the dream that has long been carried by His Majesty King Mswati III. It’s now in your hands to make His Majesty’s dream come true”, he said. Over and above, he urged EmaSwati to put the national team in prayers. “I urge EmaSwati to join the national team in prayer for a safe and successful trip. Indeed, the time has come for Sihlangu to play with the big boys and we hope that they will make the nation proud”, he added.
